Mary Ellen Harrison

I have always wanted to paint and finally had the chance after retiring from teaching.  I love color and form and learning to use my brush in different ways.  My passion is to capture nature at its best and to interpret the essence of buildings that tell a story.  I have been lucky to have had the chance to audit Robert Marsha’s painting classes at Averett University, Danville Va., for the last eight years. I am also honored to be working with a group of like minded artists at that university.  I am so enthralled with the subtle changes a simple brush stroke can make.
